Le montagne della Crimea non sono alte come il Caucaso e si trovano lungo la riva del mare. Il punto pi\u00f9 alto \u00e8 il Monte Roman-Kosh. La stretta striscia di terra tra il mare e le montagne \u00e8 chiamata la costa meridionale della Crimea e questa parte \u00e8 la destinazione turistica pi\u00f9 popolare. Il centro della costa meridionale \u00e8 senza dubbio Yalta. La natura meravigliosa, il paesaggio eccellente, il caldo clima subtropicale hanno reso Yalta la "capitale" della ricreazione per molte centinaia di migliaia di persone. <\/p>\n

La fortezza genovese "Cembalo" e le basi sottomarine sovietiche pi\u00f9 segrete furono costruite a Balaklava, vicino a Sebastopoli.
