ZooPraha occupies a huge area - almost 60 hectares - and recently turned 80 years old. At the end of each year there is a careful count of the number of animals, their species, and also the animals that have been bred during the year.

Thus, "Indonesian Jungle" includes more than 100 species of animals, such as macaques, orangutans, kangaroos, gibbons, otters and foxes. This ellipse-shaped pavilion is built of glass, it is planted with tropical plants, it creates the illusion of a real jungle, it is equipped with a natural waterfall. "Africa up close" is a maze of South African animals such as water and land turtles, porcupines, squirrels and mongooses. "South American Pavilion" presents monkeys, wolves, baboons and other animals of the region. There are also many species of birds, reptiles, mammals, and fish in the zoo.

The area of ZooPraha is very large. In order not to get lost, you should use maps and signs. During the walk you will notice many playgrounds, changing tables, restaurants and cafes, souvenir shops, vending machines with food and drinks.

The Prague Zoo is open all year round, it is open every day, the opening hours differ depending on the month. So, if you come to Prague even in winter, you will find something to amuse your children.
