Bangkok's vibrant life is never interrupted, day or night. Night Bangkok is famous all over the world for its clubs, bars, flashy shows, noisy discos, great restaurants. The rich and diverse nightlife of Bangkok has no competition in the world.

If this is your first time in Thailand's capital and you're planning a night out, it's a good idea to research the location of the venues beforehand. Nightlife venues are scattered all over the city, but there are a few of the main and most lively and popular nightlife centers in Bangkok:

Patpong or Red Light District

Patpong is the local red light district located in the Silom Street area. It covers an area of two small streets, and this is where Patpong Night Market is also located.

Nana Plaza, which is located at the beginning of Sukhumit Road, is also considered one of Bangkok's most visited nighttime neighborhoods.

The most famous entertainment venues: Playskool, Mandarin, Rock Hard, Carnival Silver, Rainbow bars, Hollywood Rock.

Soi Cowboy, located at the end of Sukhumvit Street. It can be reached by Bangkok Skytrain (BTS) trains, getting off at Sukhumvit Station or Nana Station. Soi Cowboy Street is known as a mini red light street in the heart of the capital.

It is bounded on both sides by Asoke Street and Soi 23, where there is the widest selection of nightclubs and a variety of entertainment venues in the city.

Bars often visited by tourists from CIS countries: Barsu, Sheraton Grande Sukhumvit Hotel, Bed Supperclub, NARZ Bangkok, Glow Nightclub (there are various theme parties).

Concept CM² is the only club in Siam Square and is the main entertainment center of this area of Bangkok. It is located in the basement of Novotel Bangkok.

The club is equipped with a unique stage, where musical groups from all over the world perform. And local and guest DJs offer incendiary music of different styles.

On Kaosan Road is Club Culture, a revamped version of the Thai classical theater. The club hosts a variety of events and invites famous musicians. The club regularly hosts a variety of themed evenings and has a large dance floor. Loud music and pleasant atmosphere are guaranteed.

Royal City's most popular venues include Route 66, frequented by local students, Slim & Flix, Baroque, and 808 Club. The Cosmic Bar is known as a quieter nightlife option, offering the chance to play pool to the sound of soft music.

Night cruises along Chao Phraya and Panorama

If you prefer a more romantic experience, Bangkok offers night cruises on the "river of kings" - Chao Phraya. They give you the opportunity to enjoy a romantic candlelit dinner, tropical breezes and unforgettable panoramic views of Bangkok at night.

Advocates of Thai cuisine should pay attention to the cruise liners Ayutthaya, Bangkok Manohra, Loy Nava, and on board Wanfah you can enjoy Thai seafood menu and Thai classical dances.

Grand Pearl, Shangri-la Horizon, and Chao Phraya also offer classic choreography for lovers of the international menu.

These pleasure cruises usually last about two hours and start at half past six in the evening. And prices range from 1,000 baht (30$) to 2,500 baht (73.5$).

It is worth bearing in mind that it is forbidden to bring and drink alcohol on board.

You can admire the night of Bangkok from the observation deck of the highest building in the capital - Baiyoke Sky Hotel (88 floors). There are also five restaurants with both exclusively Thai and international cuisine.

The most famous and popular nightlife restaurant in the capital is Sala Rim Nam. It is located on the shore of Chao Phraya, across the street from the Oriental Hotel. It offers a wide variety of traditional Thai dishes and great music.

Shows and Cabarets

Ladyboy shows are especially popular and of interest to tourists. If you are planning what to do that evening, attending a ladyboy show is a great option. These are cabaret theaters of sorts, where singers, entertainers, dancers, and ballerinas are transvestites. The troupes give up to three bright, colorful, humorous performances every day.

The most famous is the Callypso Cabaret Show, located in the famous Asiatic Mall on the capital's Waterfront. It is a pioneer of such shows in Thailand, starting in 1988.

Calypso presents two shows at 8:15 and 9:15 p.m., 15 minutes apart, daily. The audience is treated to sumptuous sets and rousing theatrical action of either a dramatic or comedic nature. Original plots and costumes, beautiful sound and light, modern and folk dances, songs and music.

Not inferior to Calypso in popularity and cabaret Playhouse, which opened in October 2012 at The Asia Hotel.

The Golden Dome cabaret show is located in the Ratchada district. One way to get here is to take the Bangkok Metropolitan (MRT) to Sutthisan Station. From there take a cab, but you can also walk along Sutthisan Rd to the end of the street in about 15 minutes. The Golden Dome presents three brilliant shows daily (5:00 pm, 7:00 pm and 10:00 pm).

Behind the famous Chatuchak Market, there are also several establishments aimed at non-traditional customers. Several bars and saunas are located on Sapan Kwai and Sukumvit.

The main customers here are local residents.

Soi Ramkhamhaeng 89/2 and Lamsalee are other such places. It's a dance club frequented by Thai students, mostly because of the low price of drinks.

Clubs and Entertainment for Sex Minorities

In certain circles, the nightlife of Bangkok, also called the fun night capital of Asia - non-traditional. The main minority entertainment districts of Bangkok are considered: Silom, Soi 2 and Soi 4. For nighttime entertainment for non-traditional girls, the number of places in Bangkok is somewhat less. The most popular and most visited are: Shela Pub and Woo-bar at W Hotel.

Located on the bottom floor of the hotel and open every Friday from 7:30pm), Lesla Night at the Chit Chat Pub opens every Saturday at 7pm, admission 200 baht (5.8$).

Zeta Pub is open daily from 8 p.m., admission, exclusively for non-traditional girls. The Vega Bar & Restaurant is open from 11:00 to 2:00, except Sundays. The bar belongs to the "ladies of the night" and safely neighbors the restaurant. Accordingly, the audience here is very diverse.
