Patpong or Red Light District

Night cruises along Chao Phraya and Panorama

The most famous and popular nightlife restaurant in the capital is Sala Rim Nam. It is located on the shore of Chao Phraya, across the street from the Oriental Hotel. It offers a wide variety of traditional Thai dishes and great music.
Shows and Cabarets
Ladyboy shows are especially popular and of interest to tourists. If you are planning what to do that evening, attending a ladyboy show is a great option. These are cabaret theaters of sorts, where singers, entertainers, dancers, and ballerinas are transvestites. The troupes give up to three bright, colorful, humorous performances every day.
The most famous is the Callypso Cabaret Show, located in the famous Asiatic Mall on the capital's Waterfront. It is a pioneer of such shows in Thailand, starting in 1988.
Calypso presents two shows at 8:15 and 9:15 p.m., 15 minutes apart, daily. The audience is treated to sumptuous sets and rousing theatrical action of either a dramatic or comedic nature. Original plots and costumes, beautiful sound and light, modern and folk dances, songs and music.
Not inferior to Calypso in popularity and cabaret Playhouse, which opened in October 2012 at The Asia Hotel.
The Golden Dome cabaret show is located in the Ratchada district. One way to get here is to take the Bangkok Metropolitan (MRT) to Sutthisan Station. From there take a cab, but you can also walk along Sutthisan Rd to the end of the street in about 15 minutes. The Golden Dome presents three brilliant shows daily (5:00 pm, 7:00 pm and 10:00 pm).
Behind the famous Chatuchak Market, there are also several establishments aimed at non-traditional customers. Several bars and saunas are located on Sapan Kwai and Sukumvit.
