Vienna's oldest attractions

The world's first Ferris wheel and the Prater are the most visited parks in Europe, especially for tourists who come to Vienna with children.

The Ferris wheel takes 10 minutes to complete one lap, during which time you can enjoy a view of the Austrian capital from the top of the old trees. The charm of past centuries fills the small enclosed booths, which are reminiscent of the red tramways in appearance. Not far from the ferris wheel is a museum dedicated to the rich history of this attraction.

The Prater Park can offer another tall, modern wheel. There is also an amusement park with a long history of development. In 1897 the first roller coaster was built, the park management still maintains the style of that time, which is expressed in the design of the rides. There is a small market and many restaurants. The most remote part of the park is called the Green Prater, it can be reached by a special train, the trip in a small train is 10 minutes, along a route of 2 km the train makes one stop.

The area of the park shrank after the completion of the large stadium nearby - Ernst Happel, a major highway and a racetrack. In 2004, an extensive reconstruction of the Prater was carried out, at the same time the city of Vienna began to implement a plan to expand the subway lines. Beginning in 2008, three metro stations began operating at an accessible distance from the park.

Do you want your vacation in Prague to be unforgettable? Then go to the Prater Park, touch history and have a great time!
