5. Cyprus, Varosha.
In the past one of the most popular resorts in Greece. In 1974, the island was occupied by the Turkish army, and the inhabitants hurriedly left their homes, hoping that things would get better in a week or two. Varosha is now considered a "forbidden zone," but some daring people still manage to get behind the barbed wire.
