Resorts of Kazakhstan. Alakol

Курорт Алаколь находится в районе Балхаш-Алакольской низменности Казахстана, а именно – на побережье одноимённого озера. На самом побережье этого красивейшего природного водного резервуара находится несколько баз отдыха и пансионатов, которые в свою очередь пользуються заметной популярностью как у туристов из государств Ближнего Востока, так и средней Азии. Подступающие к озеру ландшафты пустынны и безжизненны, но все же прилегающие к озеру побережье и долины отличаются особой привлекательностью и разнообразием.

Поражают размеры озера. Длина Алаколя составляет 104 километра, а в ширине – 52. Средняя глубина – 22 метра. Интересно, что вода в данном озере – солёная. На некоторых участках, температура воды даже достигает +30 градусов. Растительный и животный мир озера очень разнообразен и насыщен. В его глубинах водится достаточно много рыбы, а в густых тростниках обитают водяные крысы и пятнистые кошки. Алаколь, можно по праву считать целебным курортом, так как обладает чистым воздухом, а также уникальными природными свойствами.

The color of the sand on the local beaches has a gray tint, like the rocks adjacent to it. The beaches are pebbly, although the stones here are small, so you can walk on them barefoot and quite painlessly. If you look at the lake, it may seem that this is a real sea, its water surface looks so large. The color of the water is emerald, with a hint of blue. The transparency of the water here reaches 10 meters.

In the sanatorium "Barlyk-Arasan", located on the banks of the Alakol, thalassotherapy is practiced. Hot baths are used here using mud, salt and minerals. People come here to treat mainly osteochondrosis and sciatica. Bone fractures, skin and nervous diseases are also treated here. However, unfortunately, there are few such first-class sanatoriums here.

The beaches of the resort are poorly equipped or not equipped at all. The role of hotels here is played by two-story or one-story houses or ordinary small cottages. The wooden structures of the camp sites are very reminiscent of Soviet tourist camps. There are no usual attributes of beach resorts, in the form of sun loungers and umbrellas, on Alakol.

Despite the cheapness of accommodation in local hotels, most vacationers prefer to live right on the coast, in their own tents. The services of rest houses here, as a rule, are used by travelers from Russia, Belarus and Ukraine.

A few kilometers from the resort area there is Lake Zhalanashkol, also famous for its healing properties. However, its water helps women more than the stronger sex. The healing mud of the lake contributes to the treatment of infertility and helps in solving all kinds of women's problems.

In recent years, the popularity of Alakol has increased markedly, but the limited funds of the country's budget do not allow it to become one of the leading resorts in Central Asia.
