This city, often mistakenly by most people, is considered just a transportation hub through Southeast Asia. A person who has walked the streets of Bangkok for at least a couple of days will no longer be able to say that there is nowhere to stay with a spellbound look. A visit to Bangkok is worth at least for the following things:

The city itself is quite large, so you should not think that a couple of days will be enough to explore all the interesting and famous places. Khao San Street is a place that will tell you about the Thai nightlife better than anything. At night, you can meet night butterflies, a company of transvestites or a gang of drug dealers here, but during the day, the street does not pose the slightest danger. Of course, many people will risk visiting this territory, but if you like courage and adrenaline, then you are in the right place. Cheap hotels, clubs, casinos and much more will be provided by Khao San Street at your slightest desire.

National Museum of Thailand

For a fairly inexpensive fee, you can visit the Thai Museum, which will be an interesting start to the day, as learning about the people in whose country you are located is very important. An interesting fact is that the museum itself was built on the prototypes of the famous Grand Palace, because their construction took place at approximately the same time. Starting from the first to the last exhibition of the museum, you can learn completely about the entire history of the Thai people, including the origin and development of Bangkok itself. Some copies are presented at the entrance to the museum itself.

Grand Palace and Temple of the Emerald Buddha (Wat Phra Kaew)

It is worth visiting this popular attraction in the morning, as tickets are sold from 8:00 to 16:30, after these time frames no one will let you into the temple. It is important to note that there are a huge number of temples on the territory of the Grand Palace, which are very difficult to get around in one, without even making stops at each of them. Also inside one of them is the Temple of the Emerald Buddha, which is considered their shrine by all Thais.

A little advice: do not openly trust the locals, who can assure you that the palace itself is closed and you should go to some other place. Often all these gestures mean that they just want to make money on you.

Temple of the Reclining Buddha (Wat Pho)

Near the buildings of the Grand Palace, if you move due south, you can find the oldest temple in the city, which is called Wat Pho (Temple of the Reclining Buddha). On the basis of this construction, a university was opened in the 17th century, which functions perfectly to this day. The main exhibit in the temple is the Buddha, whose statue reaches a height of as much as 46 meters and seems intangibly huge.

Chatuchak Market

To fully immerse yourself in the color and ethnicity of Bangkok, we suggest you visit their local market, which is open on weekends from dawn to dusk. The number of people in the Chatuchak market is simply amazing. Huge crowds of buyers and sellers, different goods and all kinds of performances that take place there, make you wander there until closing time. The most important thing is to be vigilant, because in such crowded places theft flourishes perfectly.
