Crimea is closed to residents of Russia?

The fact is that last summer several dozen people, including tourists, fell ill with cholera in Mariupol, Donetsk Oblast. Characteristically, last summer there was no ban on vacations in Crimea, but there were recommendations to take precautions. At the same time, the Russian Federation established enhanced sanitary control on the Don and Sea of Azov to prevent the disease from entering its territory.

It should be recalled that in the summer of 2011, the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, in June, bathing on the coast of Donetsk region was banned. It was then that water samples showed the presence of cholera vibrio. At the same time, Rostourism instructed travel agencies and tour operators to inform tourists traveling to the Azov Sea coast of the potential possibility of infection.

The Ministry of Health of Ukraine stated that during the first half of June 2011, cases of cholera confirmed by laboratory tests were recorded in Donetsk region. Including cases of detection of Vibrio carriers.

Also the Ministry of Health of Ukraine banned the catching of fish and its preparation in public catering establishments. No restrictions were imposed on other regions of Ukraine.
