Back in 1889, the French architect Gustave Eiffel presented his project at the World Exhibition. His offspring in the artistic circles of that time was nicknamed the "tower in the nuts." For its construction, 12,000 iron parts were used, which were supposed to fasten 2,500,000 rivets. And all this in order for the tower to get a smooth bend.

Guessed? Of course, we are talking about the symbol of Paris, the Eiffel Tower. Its architectural merits can be argued for as long as you like. But the French themselves adore this delicate beauty.
