Poland, Zamosc. Photos, brief overview

This is a town from which it is quite possible to begin a trip to Poland. Zamosc (or sometimes the name is spelled Zamość) is located near the Ukrainian-Polish border, in the southeast of the country.

The history of the founding of this beautiful little town stretches far back in time. The construction of the fortress and other old buildings was the work of famous architects of those times. Zamość is homelike, you can walk for hours through the central old streets and squares! Here, in the heart of the city, there is an ancient marketplace, with many goods and souvenirs.

Every nook and cranny here is steeped in its own interesting history and culture of Poland itself. When you visit the city, be sure to visit the beautiful Renaissance churches.
