Pushkin Mountains, Pskov
On the hills of the Valdai highlands, in the Pskov region, is the state Pushkin Reserve. It includes Sviatogorsk monastery, villages - Mikhailovskoe, Petrovskoe, Trigorskoe, Voronich fortress, Savkin Hill.
From the bell tower of Svyatogorsk Monastery, which has been in existence for several centuries, one can see dozens of kilometers around. Lakes and picturesque hills, villages and roads create amazingly beautiful Central Russian landscapes.
The Pushkin Mountains and the area around them are justifiably considered the most beautiful places in the world and are protected by the state. From a bird's-eye view you can see the ancient Vrev fortress, the Golubovo estate and the trees of the old Trigorsk park. Since 1837, these places have become universally famous.

Since 1922, there have been national honoring of Pushkin, which takes place every year in the Pushkin Mountains on August 20-21. The cemetery at the Sviatogorsk monastery is considered to be the family cemetery of Hannibal-Pushkin. Here are preserved tombstones of the grandparents of the poet. In the cathedral Pushkin's younger brother Platon was also buried. The poet himself was buried here almost secretly in 1837, and the monument on it was put only in 1841. Since then, the places where the poet lived, where his friends lived, where many famous works were written, where everything is saturated with the spirit of the great poet, visited many thousands of his fans and tourists.
