Pushkin Mountains, Pskov

On the hills of the Valdai highlands, in the Pskov region, is the state Pushkin Reserve. It includes Sviatogorsk monastery, villages - Mikhailovskoe, Petrovskoe, Trigorskoe, Voronich fortress, Savkin Hill.

The Pushkin Mountains and the area around them are justifiably considered the most beautiful places in the world and are protected by the state. In the cathedral Pushkin's younger brother Platon was also buried. The poet himself was buried here almost secretly in 1837, and the monument on it was put only in 1841. Since then, the places where the poet lived, where his friends lived, where many famous works were written, where everything is saturated with the spirit of the great poet, visited many thousands of his fans and tourists.
