Ао Нанг – основной курорт провинции Краби

Ао Нанг (Ao Nang) – рыбацкий поселок отдаленный  на 20 км от Краби. «Ao Nang» обозначает «Залив Принцессы» — это красивый уголок Таиланда, с живописными известняковыми скалами и мечетями.

How to get there

The easiest but also the most expensive way is by air - to the local airport of Krabi.

You can take a bus from the airport to the administrative center of Krabi, then to Ao Nang. The ticket costs 90 baht, another 50 baht for the transfer to Ao Nang.

Beaches

The main beach is the beach of Ao Nang. The beach is about 1,400 meters long. No beach beds, umbrellas and sun loungers - this is the decision of the local authorities.

The rock that separates Ao Nang from Pra Nang Beach gives comfortable shade until noon. The abundance of trees on the sand spit will keep you from getting burned by the searing rays during the day. Visiting the beach remains free.

It is better to come to the sea early in the morning to take a cozy place and have time to swim in the clear water before hundreds of tourists from the islands on boats and longtails. By mid-afternoon, only a small part of the sea remains for swimming - two-thirds of the sea space is occupied by boats, which annoy swimmers.

In contrast to the beaches of Pukhket here there are no large differences in depth - which is ideal for children's swimming. Parents can not worry - the water is clear and calm.

Neighborhood monkeys often besiege the beach, sometimes causing trouble for tourists: can steal food, valuables that you brought with you.

Teasing monkeys is extremely dangerous; they can attack people and bite them.

Housing

Zabava is a short walk from the sandy beach of Aonang. The convenient location dictates higher prices - from 1200 baht. There are numerous cafes and restaurants around the guest house.

Baan Taveesri is located in Ao Nang Road, Soi 11, Moo 2. 262/9 10 - 15 minutes from the beach, in the picturesque Lila Valley, next to a Thai restaurant, where the best food in town. Balconies from many of the rooms overlook the Karst Cliff. The price range of this guesthouse is the same as the previous two.

Anyavee Ban Ao Nang Resort Hotel.

Of the hotels, you can stay at the Centara Grand Beach Resort & Villas, located in the tiny bay at 396-396/1 Moo 2. The hotel proudly calls itself "five-star", but by European standards, it is more like three stars. One of the few hotels that have an outdoor and children's pools, bar, restaurant, stores and meeting room.

Anyavee Ban Ao Nang Resort, is located in the beach area. In addition to comfortable conditions, the hotel offers its guests free parking, a great breakfast buffet, outdoor pool, massage room.

Pakasai Resort . There is a fitness center, spa, motorcycle rental for hiking, mountain bikes and various equipment.

Lovers of "winter apartments" can rent a villa for the long term. Monthly rentals start at 4,000 baht in low season.

Shopping and Entertainment

In Ao Nang you will not become a frequenter of noisy parties and nightclubs - the resort life is better suited for families and romantic couples. There are no big shopping malls here either - for big purchases it is better to go to Krabi, where there are some brand stores.

In Ao Nang you can do everyday shopping in small stores and local markets.

Children will love spending time at Snake Farm and Monkey School - address 13/5 Moo 5. Snake Farm and Monkey School, is a 7-minute cab ride from Ao Nang.

The show with trained snakes and monkeys lasts 40 minutes (two shows). They are expensive: 1,500 baht per person. Bargaining is appropriate not only during low season. If there aren't many spectators, you can get a 30 percent discount on the ticket price. Experienced animal trainers will help you take pictures with poisonous snakes and funny monkeys.

You can visit neighboring islands and beaches. Boats and boats depart from the beach around the clock. The cost of the trip during the day will cost 60 baht, after 18: 00 is 20 baht more expensive.

It is advisable to visit the daily city market, which is open from noon to seven in the evening.

You can find traditional Pad Thai noodles everywhere, from small cafes and eateries to restaurants. Prices start at 40 baht. Seafood soups cost a little more. For larger purchases you have to go to the provincial capital Krabi, where there are three supermarkets Tesco Lotus, Macro, Big C.

Ao Nang Beach is among the best beaches in Krabi province.
