The Lycian Trail is an ideal option for those who are tired of a traditional vacation in Turkey and would like to have more. The route has repeatedly appeared on lists of the 10 best in the world. In addition, you will have an amazing opportunity to spend the night on the most beautiful beaches of the country on the Mediterranean coast, to admire the starry sky, to feel away from civilization... And to enjoy its fruits at the same time! This is a very rich and incredibly exciting program!

The itinerary is designed so that it begins and also ends in the city of Antalya. So you can combine it with your vacation. Or especially come to Turkey for this tour. The program of each day is detailed. So do not worry: you will not be bored.

First Day

We will meet at 2pm at the bus station in the city. Here the group will meet and get to know each other. Then we take the bus to the village of Göynük. Actually it's a small town on the seashore. Its main advantages are wonderful landscapes and simply gorgeous citrus gardens. The village is framed by beautiful mountains, where the river of the same name begins. By the way, its banks are extremely picturesque, and the canyon is generally recognized as a natural monument and taken under special protection.

Overnight accommodations are planned right on the beach. You can swim in the sea before going to bed and enjoy the wonderful breeze.

Day Two

On this day we are scheduled to see the most remarkable canyon of the Goynuk River. We are talking about a deep gorge with monolithic walls, rising to 350 meters. At the same time, the river itself flows quite smoothly and quietly. These edges usually make one feel quite meditative. There are also rocky obstructions all over the place.

There's a trail waiting for us next. It goes right over the canyon and through the mountains. There will be many climbs in this section, so it's important that the hikers are in the right physical shape. However, ahead of us on the course is the reward: the beautiful view from the naturally occurring sites.

We will spend the night near the river. We are supposed to move about 7 hours. During this time the group will pass about 9 km. The load in general is average, designed for heterogeneous team.

Day Three

The passage continues in the morning, just after breakfast. This section of the trail is quite rocky. And many of the boulders that will come across look extremely picturesque: some resemble gnomes, others resemble trolls captured in the sunlight. Others are hard to compare to anything at all.

There will be pomegranate and almond orchards along the route. In autumn it is especially beautiful here, you can taste the ripe fruits. But in general, it is good at any time of the year. We will move 6 hours in this day, we will walk about 8,5 km.

Day Four

So that tourists are not completely weaned from civilization, we go to the village Gedelme. On the way you will see the ancient fortress, which once belonged to the Republic of Genoa. Here also grows a giant sycamore tree: it is rumored to be about 2 thousand years old. In the village you will find a small store where you can buy food, water and other pleasures of life.

Next we will see another Turkish village, and then we will go up to the forest. A real Turkish Olympus will be waiting for you: a powerful mountain where you can see picturesque rocks, plane trees, cedars and much more. For the day the group will walk 18.5 km in an average of 7 hours. However, moving will be easier due to the improved quality of the road.

Day Five

In the morning we explore the mountain. After that there will be an ascent to the top of Tahtaly-Dag. This is quite a beautiful elevation, which is almost 2,400 meters above the sea. Here you can see the sea coast and mountains. In general, the panorama depends on the weather.

Then the group goes down to the village Beychik. It is desirable to take the sticks with you, because it will be difficult to pass even for experienced tourists. When we get to the village, we will stop by the tea house. There will be a short break. You will be treated to tea. Here you can also buy souvenirs.

In general, we will move about 8 hours. During this time we are supposed to walk about 10 km.

Day 6

On this day, you will enter the town of Ulupinar, which is famous for its medlars and citrus fruits. In addition, the cafes here serve terrific trout. The real local attraction is the Chimera Lights. It is about the underground flames: the emissions originated on the mountainside, where such torches burn all year round. The point is that natural gas comes to the surface here. Natural processes add impurities to it. As a result, the mixture ignites and begins to explode slightly with characteristic sounds. The flame is constantly maintained.

The Chimera Fire has become a favorite attraction for tourists. If you adhere to the basics of safety, you can easily roast something in the evening on this improvised and free campfire. In addition, the sight itself is fascinating. And if the tour takes place in cool weather, you will also have a great opportunity to warm up.

You will move about 6 hours on this day. It is assumed that you will walk only 13.5 km.

Then the schedule included a visit to Olympos. This is a rather old city that was founded nearly 2,200 years ago. There are still ruins from the time of ancient Rome.

On this day we will not move much, only 1.5 hours. We are supposed to walk 4 km. In addition, we need to cover another 5.5 km.
