Ramayana Water Park in Pattaya: overview, prices, photos

Ramayana is the largest water park in Thailand, one of the three largest water parks in Asia and one of the top 20 in the world. It opened on May 5, 2016. There are more than 50 rides and attractions, special children's areas, a beautiful example of landscape design, spread over 18 hectares of land.

The most extreme slides "Water Loop" and "Freefall".

We climb to the top of the "Water Loop" attraction, put on a special vest on your back. We enter the blue capsule, cross your arms over your chest, the female robot counts three, two, one, the floor clears and...flyooooooooooooo! With cries of "Aaaaaaah" you are carried off in complete darkness, water hitting your face! Scary unbelievable! You arrive at the pool, where experienced instructors are already waiting for you.

The length of the fear is about 100 meters with a loop! It really has to be felt! 

Without taking off the vest, we climb to the top of the rides again. Here, next to the water loop, "Freefall" is waiting for us. We enter the capsule... the familiar female voice counts three, two, one in English .... and... we fly down a nearly vertical orange chute. Such speed makes my swim trunks turn into thongs!

There are also less extreme, but just as exciting. Two hundred meters of roller coaster on an inflatable raft (tube): endless turns, spirals, ascents and descents.

What's important: you don't need to lift the tube to the starting point yourself - a mechanical hoist will do it.

On some rides downhill tracks are parallel, allowing friends or family members to start at the same time and arrange a kind of competition.

Children's attractions

The Ramayana Water Park is family-oriented. Most of the attractions are designed for adults, but there are also special places for children.

Exclusively children's areas - two, onor include:

• small slides;
• simple designs for children's games;
• children's pools;
• fountains;
• water cannons;
• mini-cars for riding.

There are no age restrictions. The park has an attraction designed even for 6-month-old babies.

In addition, the entourage of the water park is of interest to children: elephants, figures, artificial caves with cave paintings, lazy river and other places.

Places to relax

Lazy River

As you descend from one of the waterslides called River on an inflatable raft-circle, you enter the "lazy river," a place for relaxation and contemplative recreation. The "river" leisurely meanders through the water park.

Over the course of half a kilometer, swimmers see lush vegetation with the ruins of ruined cities and caves, just as if they were rafting on, say, the Kvue, only very clean. The structures along the banks of the river are, of course, newfangled, but very dignified and impressive.

River and Floating Market

In Thailand, if there is a river, there must be a floating market. The organizers of the water park did not argue with tradition. The river is the most real, an element of the natural landscape - with the same dark and seemingly not quite clean water as all Asian rivers.

You can stroll along its shore, relax in small bungalows with thatched roofs. On the floating market - souvenirs, Thai food.

Wave Pool

For those who like the sea better, the seashore simulator is the right choice. The so-called "wave pool" is a broken shoreline, making a semicircle. A special system generates waves: just like in the sea.

The depth is shallow, but you can swim. The entrance "into the sea" is very gentle, which makes it possible to rest in this pool even with small children. Around the wave pool there are sun loungers, umbrellas - in general, everything is like on the real seashore.

Jacuzzi pool bar

The Jacuzzi pool, with tables and umbrellas set right in the water, was conceived as a place where you can have a drink and a snack from the bar, which is located in the same pool. That's handy, especially if the weather is too hot and you don't want to get out of the water.

There are eating places that are not connected to the water. There are frequent spots where you can get something to eat. In addition, there is a cafe with seating and tables - a children's (with a play area) and an adult one. The latter, in addition to food, offers alcoholic beverages. The prices for everything are quite adequate.

Cabana arbors

For an additional fee at the water park is offered to rent a gazebo in which you can privacy, closing the doors and curtaining the windows. The gazebos are serviced by waiters: if desired, lunch and drinks will be served here.

Additional features

Ramayana Waterpark is equipped with modern features. In addition to the already mentioned mechanical elevator for inflatable laps, the park has an electronic wristband system. It can be used to pay for food, cafes, souvenir shops, gazebo rentals - in general, all monetary expenses that are possible in the water park are made by attaching your wristband to the reader.

In addition, the water park is equipped with an automatic photo and video recording system. The recording equipment is installed everywhere, where the most spectacular shots are taken. It reacts to the signals of the wristband and takes a picture the moment you are in front of the lens. Coming up to a special terminal and attaching your bracelet, you can view the footage, print it, send it to your email or publish it in a social network. The latter services are for a fee.

Tips for visitors

• Do not forget the sunscreen, light clothing with long sleeves, a towel. However, all this can be bought in the water park store. There is a towel rental service.
• At the Ramayana Water Park there is a limit to the number of simultaneous visitors. To guarantee access to the park, the administration advises you to buy tickets online.
• It is better to come early. The optimal time is 11:00-12:00. Time flies fast in the park. And after 5 p.m. everything starts to close gradually.
• You can get out of the park and come back in (by wristband) as many times a day as necessary.
• Food items cannot be brought into the park. Only a sealed bottle of water (or any soft drink) not more than 0.5 liters per person, necessary medicines and baby food are allowed.
• Personal beach equipment (inflatable mattresses, fixed umbrellas, life jackets) can not be brought. You can bring children's life rings and muffs. All equipment is free of charge inside the park.
• In the store and restaurant you can pay not only with the bracelet, but also with cards of international payment systems.
• As in the whole of Thailand, Ramayana Waterpark has a system of VIP service. It includes priority purchase of entrance tickets, provision of an individual changing room and shower cubicle, free towel rental, locker for personal belongings, drinks (choice limited).
• The park is covered with wi-fi.

The cost of the transfer one way per person is 120 baht. Cabs leave Pattaya hourly from 9:00 to 12:00, and back from 16:30 to 18:30. You can order a shuttle service at https://www.ramayanawaterpark.ru/ when you buy your ticket online, as well as by phone.

Use the services of a travel agency. Such a visit, along with the cost of travel, will cost about the same amount as a self-organized trip.
