Holidays in Islamic countries

There are 22 Arab countries on the world map whose natives practice Islam. At the same time, these countries have long acquired a "tourist attraction. Millions of Europeans spend their vacations each year visiting Egypt, Turkey, the Arab Emirates, Morocco and Jordan.

The customs and way of life of these states have developed over many centuries. The whole process took place under the scrutiny of Islamic laws, the main points of which foreign tourists need to know. Having even the most superficial knowledge about the life and rules of Muslims, it is possible without any problems to rest and gain positive emotions.

In Islamic countries there are strictly regulated rules of behavior in public places. Here everything is subject to the three "no's": no nudity, no drinking, and no disgrace. People who practice Islam have the most negative attitude toward alcohol. Drunken people arouse contradictory feelings in them, from bewilderment to rage. A drunken man, caught on the street, can be severely punished, up to and including deportation from the country. If you want to have fun and drink, it is better to do it in hotels or specially designated places. Do not try to placate a Muslim with a bottle of alcohol - this gift is considered humiliating.

Photography enthusiasts also need to be careful in choosing models for their shoots: in these countries it is forbidden to photograph strategically important buildings for the country (government offices, palaces, military buildings), women and men in national costumes without their consent (Islam prohibits the image of a person).

Special attention is paid to women in Islamic countries. Do not try to flirt with them, flirt with them, even look at them. All this can end in a most unfortunate way.

Before walking through the old Muslim neighborhoods, be aware of your appearance. It is best to dress extremely conservatively and closed. Above all, it is respect for other people, their customs and culture. In the resort areas these rules are not so important, here you can give free rein to your desires and needs.

The tourist must get used to the fact that all Orthodox Muslims read the prayer five times a day. And they can do it everywhere: in a store, on the street, at work, at home. During this period it is best to behave quietly, without attracting attention. The holiday of Ramadan, which is sacred for Muslims, requires special mentioning. During this time, it is better to refuse to visit Islamic countries at all. There are several reasons for this: during Ramadan Muslims are forbidden to eat food, drink alcohol, and indulge in merrymaking until sunset. Accordingly, during the daytime the streets of the cities will be empty, but at night there will be celebrations and festivities with shouting and other paraphernalia. This may cause inconvenience to tourists who have a normal daily routine: day - awake, night - asleep.

All of the above is purely advisory in nature. For many Muslim countries, tourism is almost the only source of income, so they are willing to turn a blind eye to many violations. Muslims themselves, for the most part, are friendly people. They are very attentive and respectful to their guests.
