Markets

Shopping in Samui, of course, is unthinkable without visiting bazaars and markets. Markets are divided into several types - food and souvenir. Among the first must be noted fish markets, where fishermen bring fresh fish straight from the night or morning fishing.

Here you can buy king prawns, crabs, different types of marine fish - salmon, tuna, salmon. The largest fish market is located in Bangrak district.

One of the highlights of a vacation on Koh Samui is the opportunity to visit the night market.

It is a great way for tourists to get to know Thai life and feel their identity. The night markets open in the evening and work late: these bazaars are commonly called Walking Street, as the street becomes a promenade for the duration of trade.

The most famous night market is located in the Fisherman's Village area in Bophut. It is open every Friday, starting at 6 pm. Here you can buy Thai fruit, taste the local food, buy Thai souvenirs, handmade goods and various knick-knacks.
