South America's Magnificent Five

South America's Magnificent Five

Summer is just beginning, and with it comes into force the time of vacation. And here we are, you and I are already beginning to look closely, what would choose the hot deals - in short, looking for something to fly away from their capital cities and regional centers. To stunning nature and gentle sun, sand and mountains - if that's what you want, then of course a straight path to South America. There are at least seven places you must see!

The most popular place off the coast of Chile is Easter Island. Every month, tourists come here to see Moai statues up to 20 meters high. The locals will tell you why they stand with empty eye sockets...

If you are in South America in late winter or early spring, do not miss Brazil's carnival in Rio: perhaps no other country in the world will give you such a vivid experience, such exoticism, such a fiery samba, such colorful music!

You were counting on a piece of ice, but you found a whole iceberg? So you are in Patagonia. And how did you get to this unpopulated area? In fact, if you're lucky enough to be here, it's something to be proud of: you'll tell your friends later how you stroked penguins on the border of Argentina.

Another South American treasure is, of course, the Nazca Desert, covered with mosaic drawings of animal figures and geometric patterns. Scientists are still arguing where these "drawings" came from, but if you want really colorful photos, fly a helicopter over this mysterious place.

And, of course, don't miss the Galapagos Islands near Ecuador. There are thirteen of them, and each is different from its "fellow" flora and fauna. Yes, they are dangerous: there are active volcanoes; yes, there are many wild animals, but all this is part of Ecuador's national park, and all this is a jewel of the tropical world, a unique part of our planet.
