In addition to the fact that the visa to Mongolia was canceled for Russians, the countries reached an agreement on the modernization of railways.

It is known that citizens of one state planning to stay or reside in another country for more than 30 days, or work or carry out any commercial activity on its territory, are required to obtain a visa to Mongolia for Russians in strict accordance with the legislation of the country where they are moving in. However, the total period of stay there cannot be more than 90 days within 180 days, which begin from the day of the first entry.

Such a document was signed within the framework of Vladimir Putin's working visit to Mongolia, which took place in early September, where it was decided that a visa to Mongolia for Russians would become a thing of the past. And in itself, visa-free travel between the two countries was abolished in 1995, initiated by Mongolia.
