Everglades National Park

The Everglades is a marshy lowland that is located in southern Florida. This lowland is located between the Gulf of Florida and Lake Okeechobee. It is in this area that the Everglades National Park was organized in 1947. Curiously enough, the name of the park can be translated as "Swamp.

Even Everglades National Park and borders Miami, but you can enjoy unspoiled nature there. And the nature in the Everglades is extremely diverse. The Florida Gulf Coast, for example, is full of crustaceans and fish.

And in the part of the park where fresh and salt water mix at high tide are the mangrove forests. There are trees with very long roots that spread out in all directions at low tide. As a result, the trees begin to resemble giant spiders.

Beyond the mangrove forests are coastal lakes that gradually turn into freshwater marshes. It is in these swamps that alligators and crocodiles inhabit, which are the main attraction represented by the Everglades National Park. After all, it is the crocodiles and alligators that attract many tourists to the park.

Tropical trees, maples, and oaks grow on the park's hard-ground areas. But the small limestone hills of the park are completely covered with pine forests. And next to the pines you can see palm trees and other tropical plants.
