В крошечном поселке работают опытные инструкторы, налажен прокат снаряжения, пункт заправки баллонов и даже мастерская по ремонту экзотического оборудования. Есть на Тарханкуте и своеобразный «учебный бассейн» – соленое озеро лимана Сары-Голь.
