How to get there

Freedom Beach is located in such a way that it is hard to get to by land - "Try to get there!" From Patong you can walk, drive (the landmark is Avista Hide Away Resort) or swim.

The way: by Longtail Boat, 1500 baht ($41) for two people or 2000 baht ($55) for four people. If you haggle with the boat owner, you can get from Patong for 1000 baht ($27) round trip. The boat accommodates 6-8 passengers and on arrival you have to walk a few meters to land in shallow water. If you hire Longtail Boat from Kata or Karon - will be a little cheaper, but it is more complicated.

Minus the beach, its location: do not try to get on land, better to rent a boat at the nearest beach, and in low season in general is better not to go.

Take a bike to the mountain, and 10-15 minutes down through the jungle. It is better not to take children on this road. It is worth realizing that there is still a return ascent, which is very difficult.
