On both sides of Nai Harn is surrounded by palm groves, which creates the impression of a fabulous sea lagoon. The beach area is about 1 km long and up to 50 meters wide.
The shore of Nayharn Beach is gentle, the descent into the water is flat, so the beach is a favorite place for families with children. In the southern part of the beach, there is a warm undercurrent.
The whole coastal area is suitable for swimming, usually prefer the central part of Nai Harn.
The water temperature at any time of year here from +27 to +30 degrees Celsius. The sand on the beach is fine, soft, has different shades of a pleasant beige tone.

From late fall to mid-spring, the water in the area is perfectly clear, transparent and calm. The rest of the time the monsoon reigns here, provoking quite high waves and dangerous undercurrents. Therefore, in late spring and summer you can see red flags warning of danger everywhere.
This also applies to fans of waves - surfers, underwater currents are very dangerous.
There are always a lot of visitors to Nai Harn, and besides tourists, locals prefer to rest here as well. But there are no problems with the seats. The beach is clean, no sun loungers, they were banned. There are mattresses for rent - 50 baht, mats and umbrellas - 100 baht, you can rent an umbrella and a mattress for 150 baht or umbrellas and 2 mattresses for 200 baht. The shower is, but 100 meters from the beach and a paid 20 baht. There are always lifeguards.
If you prefer to relax in the shade of the trees, the rainforest that surrounds the lagoon provides that opportunity. There are no thickets or tall grass, so it is safe to walk around. Many vacationers, like locals, have picnics in the forest.
Like other Thai beaches, Naiharn Beach has many vendors. From cool juices to exotic fruits, they offer a variety of delicacies at your beck and call. And a generous tip will turn any vendor into a courteous, helpful and eager helper.
In the central part of Nai Harn there is a toilet. In any restaurant or cafe on the coast you can also use the bathroom, but for a small fee of 10 baht.
Most vacationers prefer to sit in one of the bars that are located near the beach and admire the beauty of the setting sun. In general, there is no nightlife on the beach.
How to get there
From the airport Phuket
You can order an individual transfer to the hotel. Note that public transport is not moving, you will have to take a cab or a rental car. The cost of a cab is approximately 1000 baht. Travel time is about 1 hour.
From Phuket Town
The blue bus with a sign "Nai Harn Beach" leaves from Ranong Street, the price is 50 baht.
You can leave the beach before 4 p.m. from a special stop. Ordering a cab, if necessary, will cost 500 baht. If you travel on your own, go to the end of Chalong and pay attention to the signs. There is no straight road here, you will have to make frequent turns.
From Kata, Karon, Patong
It is better to take a cab, as there is no bus service here.
You can also take a rental car, but you have to turn off the main highway and strictly follow the signs. From Patong the road will take half an hour. Start at Karon Street, turning right near Kata Beach Hotel Complex. After Boathouse Wine and Grill restaurant, turn left onto the road going up.
After 5 km you will see a monastery. It will be a landmark - the beach is located nearby, on a hill.
Stores and bars
The area around the beach is not well-developed infrastructure, but everything you need to meet the needs of holidaymakers is there. On the road going up from the beach, you will find many restaurants offering local exotic treats and European cuisine.
On average, a hearty lunch will cost you about 250 baht.
After a walk along the sunny beach and admiring the beauty of the palm grove, you can go to the local cafes and restaurants, for which the beach Nai Harn is famous. Thai restaurants located near the sea usually offer seafood dishes.
Opposite the beach, in a tropical forest, there are several more bars and restaurants, some of them arranged outdoors in the form of tables under umbrellas.

The number of places to shop here is limited: the usual department stores 7/11, souvenir shops specializing in wood products and small boutiques beachwear.

Entertainment and attractions
There is not much to choose from: water activities, massages, traditional royal regatta.

In high season, tourists try their hand at surfing (small waves are also suitable for beginners). Children will enjoy boogie boarding. Sometimes there are water scooters on the coast. At the yacht club you can take a sailboat ride.
Attractions worth visiting:
- A windmill, spectacularly decorating the area halfway to Phromthep Cape. It is Phuket's backup power generator. The windmill stands on a hill with spectacular panoramic views of the beach. The beautiful Buddhist temple-monastery of Samnak Song Nai Han.
- Nai Hanna Lake, with a small peninsula in the middle. Here are a lot of gazebos for relaxing in a pleasant company. You can also rent a catamaran. And children will not be bored, playing on the equipped playground.
These attractions are within walking distance.
Not far from the beach there are two observation decks. One of them is on Promthep Cape and offers a view of the Andaman Sea. And from Kata, you can see the view of Kata Beach.

Samnak Song Nai Han Monastery is also nearby.
If you decide to visit the sea gypsy village near Ravai Beach, take a cab or rent a motorcycle. You should go here for souvenirs and to visit the exotic fish market. If you wish, fresh seafood will be cooked in front of you by the vendors.
Housing
Most of the area near the beach belongs to the Buddhist temple, so the construction of hotels here is limited. On the beach itself there are only three hotels and a few villas in the back of the island. If you are looking for budget accommodation, you should go to Nayharn, located across the lake. There are plenty of inexpensive gesthouses here.
It is a small quiet town with the usual infrastructure for such places.
The Royal Phuket Yacht Club is the most respectable option for accommodation. It is located in the northern part of the coast. In this hotel usually stay participants of the royal sailing regatta. The rooms have a beautiful view of the sea. Prices are high - from 6000 baht per night.
