Tourist destination Crimea

Crimea is an autonomous republic of Ukraine and a peninsula on the Black Sea. People have lived here since ancient times in the caves. That is why Crimea has a very rich history and a lot of historical, archaeological and cultural sites. The ancient Greeks founded their northern colony (Chersonese) about 2500 years ago, several cave cities appeared in the VI century, the people of Genoa built several fortresses in the XV century.

В XIII веке татары пришли в Крым, и распространились по всему полуострову. В XVIII в. стал частью России так много русских людей переехали сюда. В 1954 году Крым стал частью Украины, так остается и до сих пор. Но в связи с его долгой и богатой историей, существуют более 100 различных национальностей, проживающих в Крыму сейчас. Климат очень мягкий и теплый. Крым имеет несколько климатических зон, которые довольно отличаются друг от друга. Если вы приезжаете в Крым с севера, первое, что вы увидите, будет огромные поля, равнины без конца. Равнины тянутся до Симферополя, после него вы войдете в самую красивую и привлекательную часть – горную часть.

The Crimean mountains are not as high as the Caucasus and are located along the coast. The highest point is Mount Roman-Kosh. The narrow strip of land between the sea and the mountains is called the southern coast of Crimea and this part is the most popular vacation spot. The center of the south coast is Yalta. Beautiful nature, beautiful scenery, warm subtropical climate made Yalta "capital" vacation for hundreds of thousands of people.

In the southwest of Crimea in 1783 a city was founded, which is well known as the hero-city of Sevastopol. It was founded as a naval base and that is why Sevastopol was and still is primarily a military city. It was the site of major battles during the Crimean War (1854-55) as well as World War II. People turned their attention to the Sevastopol area as an ideal place for a military base long ago. The Genoese fortress "Cembalo" and the most secret Soviet submarine bases were built in Balaklava, near Sevastopol. Eastern Crimea has had a "gray history" since ancient times.

Керчь, Феодосия, Старый Крым – города, которым несколько тысяч лет. Крым является очень популярным местом также и для туристов. Есть много красивых рек, скал, каньонов, пещер и лесов в Крыму. Наиболее известная и привлекательная гора Ай – Петри – отличный лыжный курорт, который работает с декабря по март.
