Iz Ruk v Hands Foundation and friends go to the Guinness Book of World Records

The Hands-On Foundation and friends recently attempted to set the world record for the longest chain of pencils. They lined up 2,138 pencils that took 1 hour and 22 minutes to count and broke the previous world record of 1,000 pencils, but now they have to wait 12 weeks for all the data to be verified by the Guinness Book of World Records.
An attempt to raise funds for the fund was made this year on September 7, Family Fun Day, using Bungy Jump on Thepprasit Soi 9.
The event featured food and beverage booths, as well as a recreation area for games, a mini amusement park with a Ferris wheel, virtual reality, kayaking, soccer, frisbee games, face painting and jewelry making.
The event was sponsored by Tara Pattana International School, Holiday Inn, Hemmingway Restaurant & Bar, Chonburi International School, St. Andrews International School, Fraser's Thappraya Road, United Sports, Pattaya T-Ball & Softball Community, Emerging Trends Advisors and Mercy Pattaya Center.
Six sponsored buggy jumps, including one made by Margie Granger, raised 34,000 baht. There was also a raffle with a rabbit.
There was plenty of food at the kiosks, and Hemmingway and Fraser's had great barbecue.
After expenses, 84,875 baht was raised, which was divided among 5 different charities, including the Buncho Foundation, Mercy, Grace, Spectrum and the From Hands Foundation.
The Out of Hands Foundation will be spending their money to install new chilled drinking water stations at Pattaya School #1. If you would like to contribute to this project or know where you can buy these units for a good price, please contact Marge at handtohandpattaya@yahoo.com.
Many thanks to everyone who came, volunteered and gave pencils, drinks, snacks and sponsored bungee jumps.
