An unforgettable day trip to the Similan Islands

The Similan Islands are a group of islands located in the Andaman Sea, 70 km from Phang Nga Province.

In the language of Java, the name of the archipelago means "nine," according to the number of islands.

Similan is one of the most beautiful places in southern Thailand. Travelers also call it the "Thai Maldives.

Majestic granite cliffs, rainforests, snow-white coral beaches and crystal blue water - all this is admirable and leaves a stunning impression for a lifetime.

The underwater world of the archipelago is no less amazing, snorkeling and diving in Similan Islands is one of the best not only in Thailand but also in the world.

The Similan Islands tour includes visits to two beaches, Ko Miang Island (Island #4) and Ko Similan Island (Island #8), and two snorkeling stops. Climb up to the famous "sail" rock on island #8 for stunning views.

While snorkeling you can see the giant sea turtles, reaching a meter in size, which are one of the most colorful creatures that inhabit the southern part of Thailand.

Since 2017, the Thai government has banned the location of hotels and any accommodation facilities on the islands, in the reserve area. It also reduced the allowed number of guests to 3,500 per day. The usual crowds are gone and you can fully immerse yourself in the unspoiled world of the "Thai Maldives".

Every year, from May 15 to October 15, the islands are closed to visitors to restore the flora and fauna.

Program:

05:30 - 07:00 - Transfer from the hotel to Thupla mu pier
08:00 - selection and issuance of equipment for snorkeling. Coffee break.
08:45 - Meet the guide and take a speedboat to the Similan Islands
10:10 - snorkeling on Ba Ngu Island (Island #9), then leaving for Similan Island (Island #8)
11:30 - lunch at a local restaurant (Thai cuisine). Free time.
13:00 - snorkeling in the crystal blue water on Miang Island (Island #4)
14:00 - snorkeling in the crystal blue water on Payu Island (Island #7)
15:00 - Departure from the Similan Islands
16:30 - Arrival at Taplamu Pier and transfer to the hotel
