The Aosta Valley: the center of walking tours in Italy

In northwestern Italy there is a wonderful place surrounded by the Alpine Mountains. Located at the foot of Mont Blanc on one side and surrounded by the mountains of Monte Rosa and Grand Paradiso on the other, the Aosta Valley (Valle Aosta) is of utmost interest to hikers and mountain climbers. For lack of airports near the valley, the connection to Turin is by road. You can rent a car and drive along the serpentine mountains.

Most of the year, the weather in the Aosta Valley is sunny, but in winter time changes very often. This can cause some inconvenience. In summer, the temperature in the center of the valley is about 20-23 ° C, while in the mountains it is noticeably lower. In winter, the temperature fluctuates at -5, -7 °C. Thus, the summer season with hiking tours is open from April to October, and from November to April is the ski season.
