First, take the train from Woodlands Station in Singapore to JB Sentral Station in Johor, Malaysia.

After arriving in Johor, you will need to transfer to another train that travels north, passing through Tampines, where you get off at Pulau Sebang station. This part of the trip takes up to 5.5 hours because sometimes the trains are very slow, so keep that in mind.

After you get off the train in Tampines, you will still have about 40 kilometers (25 miles) to Malacca, and you will have to travel that distance by local bus or cab. At this point, there is no single ticket you can buy to get from Singapore to Malacca by train, so you will have to buy tickets at each stage of your journey.
